This position is a trained position in food preparation and production. Prepares food for patients, employees, visitors, and catered functions. Follows food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Minimum: Reading, basic math, written language in English
- Preferred: High School education (diploma) or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a high-volume restaurant, hospital, or Institution preferred.
- Has current food handler permit.
- Obtain food handler certification within 60 days of start date.
- Ability to meet time standards required by production schedule.
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation from scratch.
- Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and maintenance.
- Has a current food handler permit.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment.
- Demonstrates initiative in assuming responsibilities.
