Health Information Management Specialist / Medical Records / FT / Days
The Health Information Specialist is responsible for prepping, scanning, and indexing patient records, analyzing and reporting record completion, releasing patient health information, and providing department customer service.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- A minimum of one (1) year of experience in a Health Information Management department or a comparable customer service-related field is required.
- Completion of related college coursework may be substituted for work experience.
- A minimum typing speed of 35 wpm is required.
- Basic PC Skills and a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite are required.
- Demonstration of good use of the English language with good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work well independently and in a team environment
- Ability to research identified problems with an initiative to identify possible solutions
- Ability to pay good attention to detail and to multitask
