Labor and Delivery Manager – RN Full-Time

Summary:

The Manager is responsible for all departmental functions of Labor and Delivery in support of the hospital mission, vision, and facility goals. The manager identifies the cost-effective systems needed to support the business of the department taking into account business trends, resource availability and changes in customers. This position establishes effective working relationships with all constituencies including patients, physicians, employees, and vendors. The Manager identifies and remedies departmental outcomes through continuous customer satisfaction data, quality measurement and data, and employee involvement. The Manager works with the Director of Maternal Services, Senior Management and Medical Directors in meeting facility goals. The areas of responsibility include the following: Labor and Delivery. Additional responsibilities may be included as operational requirements/needs become apparent.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of a professional school of nursing
• BSN, preferred
• Certification from national organization in area of specialty preferred
• Minimum of 5yrs experience in Maternal Services and or Women’s Services
• Progressive leadership experience preferred
• Current Texas RN License
• Knowledgeable of TDH, Medicare and TJC rules, regulations and standards
• Ability to make independent sound nursing and management decisions
